Hey there!
I'm Marissa, and I'm a Pinterest Strategist. I work with established service and product-based entrepreneurs by driving more traffic to their website through Pinterest marketing strategies.
I started as a Virtual Assistant in 2016. My first client was a travel blogger. She hired me as her intern first and taught me how she was using social media to promote her blog posts. I learned a lot from her especially when it comes to scheduling her posts through different software. She also taught me some social media strategies that helped her business grow. After a few weeks, I became her Social Media Virtual Assistant. It was exciting and challenging because it was my first opportunity to become a Virtual Assistant. I had no idea how to navigate the world of being a Virtual Assistant on my own. Back then, I did not even provide a contract for my client. However, I persevered and connected with other Virtual Assistants from different Facebook groups. Through them, I've learned that I've got to approach this as a business, organize my workflow through different software and tools, and set some boundaries.
After working with my first client, I branched out and pursued to work with other female online entrepreneurs such as coaches, professional organizers, mommy bloggers, artists, and so on. I mostly assist my clients in handling their social media accounts because their number 1 problem is not being able to post consistently. I create social media graphics, schedule them via their preferred scheduling tool, add some captions, research hashtags and relevant articles, and provide recommendations or ideas on what they can incorporate in their social media calendar.
Last year, I decided to focus on being a Pinterest Strategist because I love that there is a sense of collaboration and community among small business owners that you can find on Pinterest. When you search for something on Google, you will get articles from huge companies. When you look for something on Pinterest, you will get curated Pins that will allow you to discover new ideas, inspiration, and solutions to solve your problem. The Pins are usually blog posts that start with "How-to" and "Tips." You would read stories and real-life experiences from the content creators. It feels more genuine and relatable because they show vulnerabilities. I feel that those articles resonate more with my target market's audience.
Since becoming a Pinterest Strategist, I have been able to do lives, webinars, and become guest speakers in podcast channels too. Looking back to how I got started, I'm proud of what I've been able to achieve.
If you are excited to know how to leverage your Pinterest account, let's have a Zoom call! I offer a free 30-minute Pinterest brainstorm session where we will talk about your business. Then, I will recommend some tips on how you can use Pinterest for your business. It could be creating more Pinterest Pins, adding relevant keywords to your Boards, and so on.
